Matt Sasso joined RiskProNet in September 2024 as Executive Director. 

 

Previously, Matt was a Property Casualty Insurance professional with multiple decades of experience in profitable growth, business development, managing distribution channels, and leading sales underwriting teams.

 

Matt was responsible for leading and managing two branch locations; Houston and Austin. Total Gross Written Premium for both of these offices exceeded $285 million annually across 14 business units. Consistently implementing strategic initiatives to drove profitable growth and simultaneously reducing catastrophic exposure. Successful in building teams and developing talent. 

 

He graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1986 with a BSBA in Finance. Matt also holds 3 insurance designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager. 

 

Matt is a charter member of the Houston Chapter of Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and served Chairman and Grants Chair He has served as the Chairman of the Insurance and Risk Management Advisory board at the University of Houston – Downtown. He is also one of 3 founding members of the Texas Insurance Education Foundation, a non-profit foundation to help promote insurance education and create an educated workforce.
